Financial Controller: Gary Baker

Gary BakerGary's role involves keeping the finance and IT wheels running smoothly.  From producing the management accounts and budgets for the many committees and boards through to the more day-to-day functions.  Having spent over twenty years in accounting roles he joined CF in the summer of 2000 and has enjoyed “modernising” the finance office through good use of IT applications and the internet.Finance department offer support to the churches, from the receiving of donations to the paying of grants and in the providing of any finance advice where they can.  Gary appreciates the very many responsibilities placed upon our local churches and in particular treasurers. Gary attends a local church where he has been a member since the age of 18 and is married to Judith and they have three children.  He enjoys classical music, swimming, walking and football.

Finance Assistant: Linda Cooke

Linda joined in the summer of 2015 and has responsibility for operating the payroll for several church clients.  She also administers the various investments which belong to the churches.

Finance Officer/Property Manager: Philip Stainer

Philip StainerPhilip is responsible for contributing towards all financial aspects of the Congregational Federation/Congregational Federation Limited and its associated advice and support for its Churches and Area Associations. The role includes assisting in offering support and guidance to all Federation churches in respect of Trustees and  Trust Issues, assisting in responding to requests from churches with information and advice on matters to do with properties and trust funds held by CFL. Philip works as part of the Finance Team, assisting where required, and is involved in Closed Churches and Regeneration projects.
