Praying for our Creative Activities

11 August 2023

After receiving an email each day during June about the Toddler Groups held at Congregational Federation Churches we thought it would be a lovely idea to celebrate and pray for our Knit and Natter or Craft Groups.

Linda Cooke, a member of the CF Finance Team, runs a group at her local church called Creative Corner, where they meet once a month on a Tuesday morning, and she would love to start one in an evening too, to capture those people who go to work and would like to be part of this type of group. There are about 12 people at the group and they have a great time meeting and chatting and sharing together. Currently they have two projects on the go – the ongoing one is knitting squares, which will be sewn or crocheted together to make lap or larger blankets which will then go out and bless others, the second project is to make a Patchwork of Poppies which will be an installation outside their church building in time for Remembrance in November.

And these are the sorts of good news stories we want to share - and to pray for.

We would love to hear from you, whether it is church or community based, what projects you are working on, or have done, as a group or as individuals.

If you could email Linda Cooke and send in a short paragraph, which could include the name of church, the name of your group, if you have a group logo or flyer, roughly how many people attend, the day of the week and how often, and info on any projects you are working on, also if there is any specifically Christian content or theme or even a photo, etc that would be fabulous.

Send it in as soon as possible so we can plan the month ahead.

Many thanks.
