DBS Price Changes from the 1st October 2019

What will the new DBS fees be?
We are pleased to announce that the DBS will be reducing their fees as follows:

When will this change take place?
The DBS have announced that the new pricing structure will be in place for all applications submitted from the 1st October 2019. Please note that this is the date that the DBS receive the application through e-Bulk or the web service.

What will DDC be doing about these changes?
As a disbursement fee we charge on behalf of the DBS, we will be refunding/crediting fees where applicable. We have put in place a process to reduce disruption to clients, whilst offering the option to submit at the reduced figure. This will depend on the invoicing arrangement that your organisation currently has with DDC. For more details please log-in to your Client Area and review the News Feed.
To ensure that all clients are aware of the change we will be issuing notices to clients and reminding any callers about the changes. If you receive multiple notices about this change, through the various communication channels, please ensure that all applicable people within your organisation are aware.

How will this affect the response times for applications?
We expect that there will be a drop in the applications submitted to the DBS towards the very end of September, and a corresponding influx at the start of October. The DBS have assured us that this has been planned for and should not have a great deal of impact on turnaround times. Any impact will primarily be with the enhanced level checks as they go through more stages than basic and standard applications.
