Bill retires after 52 glorious years

Rev Bill Bentham retired on 31st August, after 52 years of Congregational Ministry - being our Minister at Scunthorpe for the last 14.

His last service on 28th August was followed by a presentation ceremony when members and friends enjoyed cake and wine. Greetings were received from the General Secretary of the Congregational Federation, Yvonne Campbell, and presentations were made by former members of Mexborough church (Bill's first appointment), the North-East Area and Scunthorpe church, as well as various individual gifts.

Although retiring from active ministry Bill will still continue to take occasional services for us.
