How the Ministry and Mission Fund is used:
Impact Grants
Impact Grants are available for missional/discipleship activities that will have an impact on the local area. This could include:
- Grants to enable fresh expressions of church
- Grants to churches requiring support for part time leadership/ministry to enable the church to develop missional/discipleship activities
- Grants for shared ministry between a group of churches
- Grants to Areas to be used on behalf of a clearly defined group of churches needing leadership/ministry
- Grants for equipment, facilities and resources that are required ass part of the mission plan of the church
Impact grants are usually paid over a three year period. The church is required to have plans for 5 years that cover the period after the grant has ended. Only one claim can be made in a five year period.
Starter grants
Starter grants are available to Congregational Federation churches to 'have a go' at something new. We believe that all churches should aim to be as inclusive as possible, and we are especially keen to hear from churches that are looking to make this more achievable. The main starter grant is up to a maximum of £400. An additional £200 is available for churches that need to buy equipment to support those with disabilities or special needs, such as large print books, a portable ramp or specialist toys. One claim can be made each calendar year.
Mini grants
Mini grants are available for youth and children's work, up to £100. These are specific to children and youth work, to continue the tradition begun by a legacy left many years ago, but now spent. One claim can be made each calendar year.
