Course Residential Weekends

Course residential weekends are a required and vital part of the integrated course.

They provide an opportunity for:

• substantial face-to-face learning sessions relating to the modules
• practical sessions and workshops
• some great speakers and leaders
• worship, fellowship and enjoyment together

Students and tutors genuinely learn from each other, and develop a sense of fellowship and common commitment, which can make a real difference to the amount you gain from your course.

The integrated training course is delivered without tuition fees, or with significantly reduced tuition fees, to all students who are members of Congregational Federation churches, when they have their church's endorsement and support. This is made possible by the generosity of our tutors, who offer their time and expertise voluntarily, and by a considerable financial investment by the Congregational Federation itself.

Students are responsible for finding the funds to pay for their travel and accommodation costs. There are some bursaries available from the Congregational Federation, and students are eligible for grants from a number of other organisations. Details of these organisations are provided in the Prospectus.

The weekend sessions are held at the Congregational Centre in Nottingham, with accommodation in the Mercure Hotel, within a short walk of the Centre.

There are also important learning weekends held annually in Scotland, for Scottish students. These are arranged by the Congregational Federation in Scotland, and details can be obtained from them.
