How much does it cost?
Annual affiliation fees are modest.
- There is one fee for churches in 2026: £175
- There is one fee per member which in 2026: £9.50
Can we gain National Accreditation for our Minister?
Yes we have a process for application and an Accreditation group that meets annually. The process usually takes 2 years and involves a conversation with the Learning and Development Manager.
There is also a process for long service accreditation for those who have been in ministry over twelve years.
How can we connect with other Congregational churches?
Geographical areas meeting usually twice a year in the Spring and Autumn. You will be invited to attend and even host these meetings and they will allow you to meet
others, share fellowship and worship together.
Do you have a statement on...
No. The Congregational Federation will never speak on behalf of churches.
What do we do about Safeguarding?
We will issue a Safeguarding certificate when churches have been through the process of completing
- A safeguarding policy which we can provide a template for
- A visit to check health and safety of the building and offer advice and support
- Help with DBS/PVG applications
- Safeguarding training delivered by 31:8
Can we apply for Custodian trusteeship?
Yes – we are more than happy to discuss the transfer of legal title of property to Congregational Federation Limited to be held securely in trust for your church. There will be legal fees involved in this but it is a service that provides security in the ownership of buildings.
