All for Jesus, Jesus for all

All for Jesus logoThe Mission Support Programme 4 (MSP4) is a CWM funded project with the overall aim of giving Congregational Federation churches the opportunity to be directly involved in missional activities in new and relevant ways. So much has changed and there are so many new challenges since Covid-19 not to mention technological developments that can help (or hinder) us in moving forward with communicating the gospel. MSP4 is about making missional discipleship more accessible to all CF churches in whatever context they may find themselves in.

Our mission as Christians hasn’t changed. Jesus commanded in Matthew 28 – to Go and make disciples of all nations. However, when we talk about mission and being missional disciples, for many of us it can sometimes feel more like “Mission Impossible”.

But take heart! Jesus also said, “…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses … to the ends of the earth...” Mission is a special partnership with the Holy Spirit, who goes ahead of us and prepares the way.

So, our vision for MSP4 is 3-fold, that it would:

  • Enable churches to go deeper with God.
  • Encourage churches to step out in faith and do new things
  • Resource churches as they respond to the leading of the Holy Spirit

There will be a focus on listening to one another, building each other up, affirming one another in love. We will also look at how we can engage our local communities more effectively in listening to and learning to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to the churches. We want this new programme to be filled with resource so that all churches, whatever their size or context are enabled to share Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit.

To this end, we have begun the work. As you may know this process started before Covid-19 with the consultation. We have taken those responses and are looking at how they work in a post covid context. We are currently in the exploration phase of the project.

We would love to hear your stories and how things are going for you. We want this resource to be as relevant as possible to your situation and we want to respond to what God is saying to us all as a body of Congregational churches. Please also get in touch if you would like to offer to be a pilot church to try out the new resource in the New Year and also if you would like to get involved in any way.
