Director of Learning and Development: Rev Janet Wootton
Janet oversees this area of work within the Federation. She is responsible for developing and managing the Integrated Training Course, which provides a programme of study for discipleship and a variety of ministries in our churches. The course is taught by blended learning, and accredited (Levels 4-6) through York St John University. Our tutors are in active pastoral ministry, as well as maintaining expertise in the areas they teach. Students are of all ages and from a variety of backgrounds. She also oversees the Learning Church Programme, which seeks to develop our churches as missional learning communities, through dedicated support and broad advocacy.
Learning and Development Enabler: Suzanne Nockels
This post that has come out of the Learning and Development's plan to see a hunger for training across the churches of the Congregational Federation. Suzanne's role is to encourage local churches to become places of learning so they can make a big difference in the lives of those who attend and the community around them. The Enabler can help to provide resources, training and on-going support for any area that a local church wants to develop further.
Suzanne has been a Minister in Sheffield since 2014 and has been involved in the Integrated Training Course. She enjoys cooking new recipes, folk concerts and nosing around art galleries."
Learning and Development Group Administrator: Jemma Edwards
Jemma joined the Learning and Development team at the beginning of March 2013. Her primary role is to assist the Director and Enabler of the Learning and Development Group with general administrative assistance in relation to the Integrated Training Course. Key tasks include administration of meetings, booking conferences and venues, logging assignments, updating and preparing training material. Her responsibilities include planning and preparing training weekends, compiling information for the accrediting university, dealing with moderation of assignments and assisting the Learning and Development Group with the administration of local events.
