Pioneer Community Worker Appointed

25 May 2016

Churches Together in Leicester and Leicestershire are very pleased to formally announce the appointment of Sue Steer as the Pioneer Community Worker for the Lubbesthorpe Development (now under way).

Sue will start on the 1st September 2016 with an induction period where she will be introduced to the various stakeholders in the Lubbesthorpe Project.

Sue lives in Hinckley and is very excited to be starting at Lubbesthorpe from the very beginning of the development work.

Sue said ‘I am thrilled to be stepping out into this new venture with Churches Together in Leicester and Leicestershire. Having developed and grown community from an idea to reality at The Pathways Centre in Hinckley, along with skills gained through Pioneer Ministry training at the Church Missionary Society, I feel this is a brilliant opportunity to be at the first stages of helping community develop in Lubbesthorpe.'

Sue will be assisted by the Lubbesthorpe Action Group, an ecumenical team who will be supporting Sue’ s role as it develops and expands. They are delighted that after much planning the work to build community in Lubbesthorpe can now get under way.

Please pray for Sue as she prepares to start in her new role.
