Training weekends are a vital part of the Integrated Course.
They provide an opportunity for:
- substantial teaching relating to the modules
- practical sessions and workshops
- some great speakers and leaders
- worship, fellowship and fun!!
They not only provide important opportunities for contact with tutors, they offer a chance to learn in seminar, lecture and discussion, and to share in worship together. Furthermore, at course weekends participants and tutors learn from each other and develop a sense of fellowship and common commitment, which can make a real difference to the amount you gain from your course.
The Integrated Training Course is delivered free of charge to all students who are members of Federation Churches, with their Church's support. This is made possible by the generosity of our tutors, who offer their time and expertise voluntarily, and by a considerable financial investment by the Federation itself.
The weekends and sessions are held at the Congregational Centre in Nottingham with accommodation in the Mercure Hotel, within a short walk of the Centre.
Sessions for the local GIFT Courses will be arranged locally. Venues are expected to comply with minimum standards of Health and Safety and Accessibility and Congregational Federation Safe Guarding Certificate.
The Scottish weekends are arranged separately, in conjunction with the Congregational Federation in Scotland.
