Blaby Congregational Church recently commemorated 50 years of loyal service for their Treasurer Ted Warry.

Michael Heaney the General Secretary of the Congregational Federation was delighted to be able to attend and take part in the special service. The service also celebrated the Church’s anniversary and it was a delight to have folk present of all ages to enjoy the day.

Account Book 1957

Today Blaby continues to show the love of Christ in new and imaginative ways. You would find a warm welcome!

Pictured is Pastor Julie Newitt along with Michael presenting a certificate to mark the occasion, which also included a celebration cake.

After the presentation Ted was able to show Michael the Account book from 1957 when he took over as Treasurer. That year showed a surplus of £1, 9 shillings and 1½ pennies!
