Each year following Easter the Federation organise a family conference for Ministers, local leaders and Integrated Course Students.
It consistently provides an excellent few days with quality leadership and resources present. This year was no different with wonderful weather showcasing the superb surroundings which gave:
- An opportunity to theologically explore the changing patterns and pressures of the wider economic world and our response.
- A chance to refresh, inform and revive!
- The chance to consider new ways of exploring the rich resources we have within our churches—people, premises, possibilities.
John Truscott is a Church Consultant and trainer who explored with us practical ways of developing and maximising the resources that are available within our fellowships. His vision is for the whole Church to seek and encourage spiritual gifts of administration so that it can become healthy and effective for Christ. He longs to see Christians get their act together so that their life in Jesus Christ and their work for him can prosper. You can download a copy of his talks 'Volunteering or vocation?' opposite and also find a link to his excellent website which provides many practcial resources.
The conference was for all ages as the youngsters explored what it means to be an Apprentice of Christ.
The fun and fellowship continued in some more informal social tiems which included Morris demonstartion and participation.
The conference in 2011 from the 26th to the 29th of April will focus on the Bible and will again be held at Willersley Castle Derbyshire. Book the dates now!
