Worship Toolbox

Sunday by Sunday, week by week a variety of worship takes place in our Churches. How can your area support and encourage local worship leaders? The Worship Toolbox provided by the Co-ordinating Group For Worship hopes to provide the resources for an area assembly, rally or training day on the theme of worship.

So how does the tool-box work? On the grid shown are a number of workshops and people willing to run them. First discuss in your area what workshops would be helpful. If you are planning a multi-workshop event, we recommend that you do not include more than four.

Then

  • Phone the leader(s) and check that they can make the date. Not every leader will be able to help on that day. Please give the leader(s) as much notice as possible.
  • Discuss how long you want the workshop(s) to be. If it is to be a multi-workshop event, are you expecting everyone to go to each workshop in turn or to choose between them?
  • We anticipate that the area will pay travel expenses. You might also want to reimburse people for their time and materials.
  • Because The Coordinating Group For Worship wants to hear what is going on in the Churches, we expect ‘Supporting Worship’ to be part of the day.
  • Publicise the day around your local Churches.

Toolbox Grid

The options on the grid show the range of tools currently available. In addition there may also be workshops on offer about Children’s worship. Please contact your Area Children’s Co-ordinator about offering the CORE training modules.
